SPRING ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS!

We are excited to say that wedding season is officially in full swing! Our spring season has been filled with weddings but even more engagement sessions. We spent time at Everheart Park in West Chester with Jaira & Mitch, and had so much fun with cherry blossom petals! We are all ready for their wedding this weekend!

Aimee and Thang are celebrating their wedding the 4th of July in 2014. We always love shooting at Ridley Creek State Park and their gorgeous grounds. We had a few outfit changes and created a special shot for their save the dates.

When you’re planning your save the dates we are up for anything. Come to the shoot with any ideas you can possibly think of and we can create it!

Danielle & Anthony 4~20~13

We have been so lucky with weather this year and this past weekend was no exception. The sky was blue and puffy white clouds sprinkled the sky, it couldn’t have been better.Danielle and Anthony have wonderful family and friends that joined them in celebrating their amazing wedding day.

We stayed the traditional course and kept the bride and groom separate until the ceremony at Visitation in Norristown. It was a heartwarming ceremony and we were able to capture some amazing intimate moments between Danielle and Anthony.

After the ceremony we went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and used the spectacular backdrop of the museum and the parkway for gorgeous bridal party portraits. Again, we can’t say enough about the perfect weather, we think the series from this wedding is stunning.

The Merion in Cinnaminson New Jersey was the host venue for the reception, and they always go all out from service to food, and that night was no exception. Danielle and Anthony had their reception in the Skylight Room and we were able to sneak them into the room before the guests entered for some spectacular room shots under the skylight dome. Congratulations to the both of you, and all of our best to you both and your futures together.

Zena & Mark’s Engagement

Love in Law Enforcement! That is how we would describe Zena and Mark. These two are both Pennsylvania State Troopers and double as Ken and Barbie We are so excited for their wedding at the Hotel Bethlehem in the Lehigh Valley this fall.

We wanted a different back drop for their engagement session, something opposite of the urban location their wedding will have. Lockridge Park in Alburtis, PA was the location of choice and it proved to be outstanding. We had an amazing time together and their images are gorgeous. We couldn’t be happier for these two and really enjoyed being in their company for the day. Take a look at some of their amazing photos below!

Tristan & Kevin’s Engagement

We had such a wonderful afternoon with Tristan, Kevin and their pup Marty B. We shot their engagement photographs the day after they returned rested and sun-kissed from a cruise vacation at Valley Forge Park. The happy couple is planning a destination beach wedding in the beautiful Naples, Florida. We had some great ideas for their save the dates that will announce the location by using Tristan’s engagement ring and a road atlas…take a look below!

Tristan and Kevin love to have a catch, love their dog Marty B and LOVE their Philadelphia Flyers. We were able to capture all these wonderful things about this fantastic couple during their shoot. So excited for their wedding in January!

Danielle & Joseph 3~15~13

Hours and hours of hard work and preparation take place before a wedding day and Danielle and Joe’s wedding was no different. The families involved in this past weekend were absolutely amazing. With the support of all their families and friends, the hard work and preparation paid off because the day went off without a hitch.

The trend this year seems to be the traditional approach so far. 2 photographers allow for a seamless transition from getting ready and details at two separate locations to the ceremony at the church. We always have so much fun with everyone when anticipation is high and emotions are racing. We were able to get some stunning images of the bride and her ladies in waiting and also some handsome shots of the men. Check our their matching purple banana socks!

The ceremony was located at St. Joseph’s church in Aston. It was a beautiful ceremony followed by immediate family group shots on the altar. We were running out of daylight and had a special roadblock waiting that we had to get to. Joseph’s family actually have a street named after them We had a police officer block the busy street for us and we got some awesome photos from it!

Then Mendenhall Inn is always a great location for food, fun and dancing. After some great tributes to the bride and groom we went right into great music and entertainment. Schaffer Sound always provides great sound for a packed dance floor all night long.

Nicole & Zachary’s Engagement!

We have been so excited to post about our most recent engagement shoot with Zach and Nicole. We met them both a few months ago and were so excited with their vision for both their wedding day and engagement shoot. We decided to meet after work in Phoenixville, PA for a great sunset, twilight shoot.

The biggest and best surprise to me as their photographer was their creative idea which you’ll see below. Nicole called the old vintage Colonial movie theater and asked to have their names put up in lights on their marquee sign and sure enough…voila! “SAVE THE DATE, NICOLE & ZACH, SEPTEMBER 7, 2013″ lit up the main street in Phoenixville. It was one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen.

We got some great night shots with the sign but also ventured down some alleys and across a bridge while the sun was setting. Though they were nervous in the beginning as most of our clients are, they were having a blast with it by the end. It’s not uncommon to feel uncomfortable in front of a camera, but I can promise you it’s our job to make it fun and unforgettable.

Can’t wait for their wedding at The Loft at Limerick this September!

Jessica & Robert 3~9~13

There is nothing better than seeing two amazing families joined together by the love of two individuals. Jessica and Robert both have incredible friends and family who came out to support their marriage. We began the day separately before the ceremony at St. Joseph’s Church in Aston.

It was one of the first sunny and 60 degree days we’ve had all year, perfect for their wedding day. The groomsmen were a blast to shoot and were up for anything. Their pocket watches proved to be a hit with our photographers as well. The grooms gift to his men are always an important image to capture. Jessica’s Maid of Honor was actually Robert’s sister who, in fact, introduced the two lovebirds in college.

We headed to Mendenhall Inn and used their awesome hotel lobby for a few portraits and then headed to the grand ballroom and atrium for some great bridal party photos. We also got to bring our photo-booth which always adds some great entertainment to the evening. A big thank you to Chris from Schaffer Sound for great music throughout the night that kept the dance floor packed! And of course to our photographers Coleman & Cassandra for capturing a fantastic event.

Congratulations again you two! All of our best for your future together!

Laura & Brad’s Engagement

Laura and Brad are the sweetest couple in the world and are so very much in love. They are planning a wedding in different states and managing it so well! Brad came into town for Valentine’s weekend (how cute is that?) and decided to take advantage of the time together and go out for a photo shoot. 2 hours, 2 locations and 2 outfit changes later, I think the images speak for themselves…can’t wait for their wedding in July!

Laura & Carlo 1~12~13

Family, Food, Music & Dancing, that’s what amazing Italian weddings are made of! What an awesome day we had with Laura and Carlo! These two have incredibly deep Italian roots and their cultures were on great display that day.

As tradition would have it, Laura and Carlo got ready separately and both were very anxious for the moment they would lay eyes on each other at St. Rita of Cascia in Philadelphia. With 300 guests, the church was filled with family and friends who traveled from all over the globe, even Italy itself. Our wide angle lenses were able to capture the magnitude and classic architecture of this beautiful church and ceremony.

Laura and Carlo had their first date in center city Philadelphia, so it was only fitting that we shot their bridal party images in Logan Square and in front of Independence Hall on Broad Street. We got some great twilight shots with just the two of them on the Parkway and got to take a walk down memory lane… El Vez was the location of Laura and Carlo’s first date, we got some great shots in front of their marque and were able to jump up on the bar inside the restaurant to document where it all began…take a look at the great shots below!

The Merion in New Jersey was a perfect location for the reception. The hall fits large groups very comfortably and their food is exquisite and plentiful. Laura and Carlo wanted to really make the room vibrant and utilized Duca Studio’s amazing up lights, the images created with the lights as the backdrop are stunning. We recommend up lighting every room to really make your images really pop.

To the Lubrano and Cognata families, thank you for making us feel like part of your own. Knowing that generations of the Duca Family who came before us, helped capture so many weddings in your families before, made documenting this special day for your children that much more special.

Congratulations again Laura and Carlo! All of the best from our family to yours!
